Thank you for your interest in the 2025 summer teacher workshops at the McDonald Observatory. Please note that workshops take place at McDonald Observatory in
far West Texas.
Participants are responsible for their transportation. Lodging and meals are included in the program and partially covered by the $100 workshop fee.
Summer workshops are open to educators currently teaching in K-12 classrooms in the United States and to UTeach pre-service students. McDonald Observatory welcomes teachers from science, technology, engineering, art, and math backgrounds with a variety of experiences in astronomy.
Applications must be submitted by 11:59 pm CST Wednesday, February 12, 2025. You will be notified by March 1 about your application status. Late applications will be considered for workshop wait lists.
