Adulting: Progress Not Perfection
With the jump from high school to college, many college students find ourselves struggling with how to tackle all the new responsibilities demanded of us from the adult world. With our SHARE Community “Adulting”, we seek to create a welcoming space for fellow young adults to process feelings around these new experiences, combine our knowledge and wisdom, and gain empowering new skills - whether that’s how to file taxes, apply for jobs, find an apartment, budget your finances, advocate for ourselves at work, set boundaries in a relationship.....etc. Topics will depend on the collective interests of the peers who participate, so come join us on this journey of growth!
Fill out the form below and we'll be in touch!

Please carefully read the below statements and then select each box to confirm your acknowledgement. Thank you.
I understand that Longhorn SHARE Project activities are designed for and facilitated by UT Austin students ("SHARE Support Specialists") who have at least a semester of prior mental health training and continued support from UT Austin staff. I understand that while peer support can be healing and productive, SHARE programs are not a substitute for therapy.
I understand that due to the peer-centered nature of the Longhorn SHARE Project, professional staff will NOT be present at group meetings, nor are they likely to be copied on most messages sent by SHARE Support Specialists. I understand that if I have concerns about messages posted or received in association with this SHARE Community, I am able and encouraged to contact the Longhorn Wellness Center or Longhorn SHARE Project Coordinator so they can respond and offer support.
